As part of the continuous upgrades to CAREL’s products, we would like to inform you that as of October 2017, the current pCOWeb and pCONet card part numbers will be replaced by two new part numbers. These two new part numbers in fact correspond to two new cards, and have been created in accordance with all CAREL product development guidelines. Worth highlighting in particular is the increased performance and total backward- compatibility of new products with the entire family of products and applications in which the replaced products are used. The new are in fact backward compatible regarding both SW and HW with the current pCOWeb and pCONet. These feature upgraded technology, which for customers means higher speeds and more memory available than on the current versions. The table below shows the correspondence between the part numbers for the current pCOWeb card and the new pCOWeb:

B The following table, on the other hand, refers to the pCONet card:

It can be seen how the new cards feature standardised part numbers so as to simplify the range, with uniform memory capacity and cover colour in the same solution, ideal for all applications. The list price for the new cards remains unchanged compared to the cards these replace. The implementation of these new cards has been brought forward due to end of production of the microprocessor used in the current part numbers, as well as the high sales volumes of the cards themselves, which has accelerated the phase-out process. Consequently, the period of coexistence between the four cards (current pCOWeb/pCONet – new pCOWeb/pCONet) will be quite brief, as indicated by the timelines shown below:
